



BBC 1’s Soap Opera ‘Eastenders’ First Appeared On British Television Screens In 1985. In Honour of The Show Contributing Over The Last 40 Years To Facilitating And Developing New British And International Talent Behind The Camera, In April This Year BAFTA Awarded The Enduring Popular Drama Programme Its ‘Television Craft Award’. It Was Designed In The Likeness of Queen Victoria, William’s Matricachial Majesterial Descendent After Whom The Queen Vic’ Is Named.

As President of BAFTA I’m Very Proud To Be Involved With An Organisation That Is Dedicated To Breaking Down Barriers For The Storytellers of The Future And Ensuring That Young People From All Backgrounds Can See Themselves Reflected On Screen.

William The Prince of Wales. In Wales!

Like His Father, King Charles III, William Prince of Wales Is A Big Supporter of The Arts. He Became President of BAFTA In 2010 And Attends The Annual Awards Ceremony Each Year In Person or By Video Presentation. He Has Also Established A BAFTA Bursary In His Name To Help ‘Up And Coming’ Creatives From Different Backgrounds In Film, Television And Gaming
This Year He Shared A Special Message At The Welsh BAFTA Awards Ceremony Which Took Place October 5th 2025. Before The Event, He Visited The Bad Wolf Film & Television Production Studios To See How The Current Intake And Team of Artists And Creatives Were Getting On.
He Later Posted On Instagram That It Was A Pleasure To Spend Time There In Cardiff, As He Praised All Those Involved And Wished Good Luck To All The Nominees. His Visit Included The Set of Doctor Who, The Set of ‘The Other Bennet Sister’ & A Puppet Workshop At St Albans RC Primary School.
Last October (Video Directly Above) After Visiting The Royal African Society @theroyalafricansociety Prince William Thanked The Organisation For “highlighting the importance of nurturing underrepresented and diverse voices, and supporting aspiring young talent.”
