They Did It By Winning Over A Judging Panel of Music Industry Experts With Their Trio of Harmonic Vocals During The Competitive BRITs 2023 Rising Star Sessions (Which Took Place The Latter Stages of 2022).
Cat Burns And Nia Long Were Runners Up Having Also Made It Through To The Final Stages of The Coveted Musical Competition To See Who’s Going To Be In Musical Vogue The Following Year.
This Year ITV Broadcast The BRITs On A Saturday Night For The First Time Ever. On Saturday February 11 2023 Live From London’s O2 arena To Be Precise. The British Record Industry Trust (aka The BRIT AwardS Ceremony) Works In Association With The Famous BRIT School In Croydon. It Has Been Suggested This Is One Reason Why Organisers Wanted The Event Finally Re-scheduled From A School Night To A Saturday Night After All This Time. Too Many of The School’s Student Felt They Were Missing Out Watching The End Result Show of What The School Was About. Performance! Being Held At The Weekend Meant They Didn’t Have To Worry About Getting Enough Sleep For School The Next Day.

The BRIT Awards First Began In 1977 As Part of The Queen’s Silver Jubilee Celebrations And Were Held At Wembly Conference Centre. Five Years Later In 1982 They Were Revived To Become An Annual Event And Were Broadcast From The Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane. Broadcasting of The Awards Has Interchanged Between Live Or Pre-Recorded Over The Years And By Either The BBC or ITV. 1988 Was The First Time It Was Broadcast Live. By The BBC. 2023 Is The First Time That A Group Has Won The Rising Star Award. And This Inaugural Win Has Been By All Girl Group. In 2021 Little Mix Were The First Girl Band To Win Best British Group. little-mix.com
The BRIT Awards 1989 Was A Live Broadcast Presented By Page 3 Model Sam Fox And Rock Legend Mick Fleetwood of Fleetwood Mac. It Was Generally Considered To Be A Disaster For A Host of Reasons, Not Least of All The Comedic Looking Difference In Their Heights And Problems Being Heard Whilst Trying To Speak Into Their Mics. So It Reverted To Being Pre-Recorded From 1990-2006. From 2007 It Went Back To A Live Broadcast.
It Has Had A Host of Different Presenters Over The Years. Some Better Than Others, Including A Curious Collection of Different Comedians Each Received With Mix Opinions. This Year It Was The Turn of British-Jamaican Comedian Mo Gilligan @mothecomedian. It Has Also Been Held At Host of Different High Profile Venues.
