Events Dear Boy. Events! Birthday Celebration Ends Punctilliously Early, In Cinderella Style & With Royal Flair ~ October 2022

Pleasure & Play Fine Art Photographer, Queer Erotica Curator & Body Beautiful Documentary Maker Awarded With Honourary Royal Photographic Society Fellowship During Birthday Celebrations.
And The Majestic Magic Was Retained By Shutting The Party Down Before The Pumpkin Hour ~ As Per Cinderella

TheOrator.Press (TO.P) Found Itself In The Wrong Place At The Right Time Late October 2o22 After Seeking To Attend A Presentation On Movie Making At A South East London Culture & Education Centre. Alas We Couldn’t Get In As There Was No One Manning The Doors When We Turned Up Nor Any Signage With Directions To Help People Arriving After The Start Time (Notwithstanding Enquiries On This Point In Advance).

Whilst Pondering Our Predicament A Group of Bubbly, Happy, Engaging Partygoers Arrived And Beckoned Us In When The Doors Were Opened By One of Their Friends Summoned On The Phone From Upstairs.

We Introduced Ourselves To The Host Birthday Boy Who Interestingly Retained Hosting Duties And Yet Simultaneously Kept A Very Modest Low Profile. Helpfully He Directed Us To Our Intended Event In The Same Building. And So Again We Tried But Still Couldn’t Find Anyone Manning The Doors To That Section, Nor Latecomer Directions, So We Just Stuck With The Party Instead. Some of The Lovely People We Met Posed For Pictures For The Magazine As Reflected In This Wonderful Picture Gallery On The Left.

The Late Musician David Bowie And Veteran Social Activist Linton Kwesi Johnson Are Legends of The Neighbourhood [David Bowie Street Mural By Artist James Cochran]

Linton Kwesi Johnson; Prize Winning, Jamaican Born, British-Based Writer, Poet, Musician, Veteran Social Activist, And Commentator, Linton Kwesi Johnson Is A Legend In The Local Area Having Lived Through And Documented Much of Its Critical Explosive Racial And Cultural History [Famous Quote LKJ]

The Party Was A Relaxed Atmosphere of Friends Just Chilling, Chatting And Drinking. Happily The Host Was A Man of Self-Contained, Cool, Middle-Aged Maturity, Self-Awareness, Self-Confidence, And Bold, Bare, Breathtaking Creative Accomplishments, Who Unashamedly Knows The Beauty of Beauty Sleep. (As Do We.)

So The Soiree Ended At A Very Civilized Hour Having Started Much Earlier During Daylight Hours. Cinders Would Have Been Proud!

Before The Night Ended Some Shared Their Stories With TO.P of Adventures, Personal Battles, Different Cultures, Dreams, Intriguing Encounters, Fights & Struggles, Passions & Projects. There Was Much To Learn & Discover.

We Even Met A Very Cool Latecomer On Our Way Out As The Party Died Down. He Arrived Very Fashionably Late, Which Is To Say He Looked Sartorially Great In Black Top, Trousers & Shoes With Matching Burberry Lined Coat.

Still Focused On Our Original Raison d’etre, We Continue Liasing With Different Sources To Secure An Exclusive Interview For The Magazine With One of The Main Presenters of The Event We Originally Came To See.

Meanwhile On The Very Same Evening As The Birthday Party The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) Announced Online That The Avant Garde Studio Had Won An Honourary Fellowship In The 2022 RPS Awards. rps.org/awards. This Royal Society Is Clearly Unfazed By The Studio’s Website Warning Statement That It Is “Unapologetic” About It’s Very Graphic Queer Adults Only Content).

It Was A Night With Much For Many To Celebrate Indeed. In Fine Regal Company. And It Reflects The Huge Change In The Prevailing Modern Day Art World And British Society.
