We Absolutely Love The Staging of This Photo (Below) With Ariana And Jon The Wicked Director For Variety Magazine. They Have Been A Main Press Partner With Wicked Throughout Its Journey. Their Articles And Photos Have Been Wonderfully Socially Reflective.They Even Managed To Get Three of The Main Stars On Their Front Cover (End of Third Column).
This Is Unlike Certain British Newspapers Who Appeared To Be Afflicted By Exclusion And Erasure As They Covered The British Premiere And Could Only Bring Themselves To Include Just The White Blonde American! The Irony Is That The White Blonde American Is Deeply Close To And Firm Friends With The Black Shaven-Headed British Londoner That The British Press Turned Their Back On By This Blatant Front Page Erasure And Exclusion Action.
The Whole Film Is About Friendship, Which Their Worldwide Audience Knows. So That Erasure Action By Those Publications Was An Own Goal Which Showed Them Up For What They Are And Highlighted Their Racist Press Behaviour. In This Case It Was Erivo Not Grande Who Came Home Sweet Home And Her Own Press Shunned Her. It Was So Blatant And It Helps Highlight Why Independent Media Is So Important For Black And Brown People And Our Friends And Allies. And Also Why Mainstream Jurrasic Media Is In Decline.
Certain Sections of The British Press Chose Not To ‘Hold Space’ For British Born London Girl Cynthia Erivo When She Returned To Her Home Town At The Final Stop of Her London Tour In November 2024.
Fans Were Unimpressed With This Section of The Press And Duly Called Them Out For It. Including Kids!
Erivo Told Them She Was Focused On The Film’s Message And Would Solider On Nonetheless.Sales of Old Guard Print Press Have Plummeted Over Recent Years. This Jurrassic Behaviour From Them Helps Highlight Why!
