Why Ryan Choose To Tell That Joke At All, In That Business Conference Environment Is Something of A Mystery And Totally Disappointing. This Is Especially So Considering The Kind of Comedy Programmes That She Has Appeared On. These Include The BBC’s Have I Got News For You, Channel Four’s 8 Out of Ten Cats, And Comedy Central’s Out of Order, All of Which Generally Speaking Don’t Tend To Rely On Cheap, Factually Incorrect, Racist Material To Try And Raise A Laugh.

Ryan’s ‘Comedic’ Statement Was An Attack On Black Women Who Have Been Brutalised, Maligned, And Murdered By White Racists Throughout History. It Was Also An Attack On The Black Community In General. Especially Those Who Have Been Murdered, Brutalised And Set Up By Police And Been Victims of The Very Opposite of White Privilege. Her Words Are Effectively Erasing That History.
Most Disturbingly Her Words Are Not Original. Erasure And Minimisation Are What White People Who Have A Problem With The Progression of Black People Do. ‘Progressive Becomes A Dirty Word To Them’. Rather Like DEI Are To Trump. Time And Again It Appears That For Them To Feel ‘Comfortable’ Black And Brown People Need To Be Oppressed. Not Progress.
It’s Been Happening For Years. Decades. Centuries. As Such This Aspect of Her Act Is Just Tired Old Racist Material Of The Trumpian Kind (Notwithstanding She’s Originally From Canada, Not America. Mind You, Trump’s Family, The Trumpfs, Are Originally Austrian And Also Immigrants).
The Colour of Their Skin Is What They Consider To Be The Superior Difference. As Such It Was Easily Recognisable As Racist Rhetoric And Is Wholly Unacceptable. The Mystery Is Why She Felt The Need To Say It At All When It Was So Uncalled For. This Was A Business Conference, Late Afternoon (The 4.30-5.00 Slot). And The Vibes Had Been Good. Plus, On The Comedy Circuit, She Works With Other Comedians And They Include Black Male And Female Professionals Who She Works With Quite A Lot.
If She’s Only Just Showing Her True Colours Now, Has She Been A Festering Trumpian Trojan Horse All This Time ?

But History Shows (Including Right Now With The Current Administration In The White House – Which By The Way Was Built By Black People) Those Who Choose To Engage In Racist Behaviours Are Not Known For Their Honesty Nor Accuracy Nor Integrity. This Is Not True. In The Absence of Due Acknowledgement of The Erasure, Misrepresentation, Mistreatment And Sufference of Black People The Racial Oppression of Decent, Upstanding, Innocent, Law-Abiding, And Ambitious Members of The Afro-Caribbean ill Continue And Escalate, Just As It Has Done Historically. Instead It Needs To Stop Immediately.
