The Day After These Images Were Issued, Saturday August 26th 2023 FIFA Suspended Rubiales For 90 Days Whilst A Disciplinary File Was Prepared.
Just Days Later On Bank Holiday Monday August 28th 2023 The Commission of Territorial Presidents of The RFEF Issued A Statement Confirming That Following The FIFA Suspension They Were Now Calling For Luis Rubiales To Submit A Letter of Resignation. And That They Now Officially Withdraw Their For Him. ”The Federation’s Internal Protocols Have Been Activated As A Result of The Suspension. We Have Urged President Pedro Rocha To Immediately Withdraw The Last Communication On Behalf Of The Federation With FIFA And UEFA.”
