Although Not Within The City of London’s Square Mile, Canary Wharf Is One of London’s Most Premium Business Districts, And For Those In Need of A Stylish, Impressive, Business Condusive, Food & Drink Establishment For Business Meetings, Letting off Steam, or Just Feeling Immersed In A Bustling Atmosphere, There Are Many Fine Eateries & Drinking Venues To Choose From. But Boisdale, Which Overlooks The People Watchers’ Paradise Cabot Square, Is Arguably The Best Amongst Them. Not Least of All Because It Has A Vast Terrace On The First Floor Which Brings You Outdoors Whilst Remaining Indoors, A Cosy In-House Stage On The Second Floor, And Fabulous Vistas Just About Everywhere Throughout The Building.
Scottish-Centric Tartan Upholstery, Deep, Rich, Warm, Mahoghany Wood Panelling, Fine Wines, Fine Whiskies, & A Fine Looking Bar With All Kinds of Liquid Specialities, Plus A Long, Wide, Large Windowed Dining Space, Is All Rather Seductive. Patronised By @Jools Holland, It’s Pretty Much The Perfect Setting For Most Soul-Centric Musicians.
SKW’s Set Includes One of The Best Love Songs Ever Written ‘You To Me Are Everything’ By The Real Thing, The Drifters Classic ‘Save The Last Dance For Me’ And ‘All Night Long’ By Lionel Ritchie. Sexy, Seductive And Stylish Indeed.
Other Soul Tunes & Motown Classics Performed Durng The 90 Minute (With Short Break) Set Included ‘My Girl’ By The Tempatations. ‘Under The Boardwalk’ By The Drifters. And ‘Stand By Me’ Written By Ben.E. King Who Was At One Point The Lead Singer of The Drifters, And Which Song Was Performed By @The Kingdom Choir At Harry & Meghan’s Wedding.
There Was Group Dancing At The Back (By A Great Looking, Great Moving Group of Mature Caribbean Ladies On A Night Out, Loving Life). Romantic Dancing On The Side (By A Young Caribbean Couple, Who, Moved By The Music, Danced To A Classic, And Then Sat Back Down At Their Table Looking All Loved Up Afterwards). And Fun Dancing Up Front By The Stage, Including By Ritchie’s Business Partner Mo (Who Is of Barbadian Heritage, And Develping A Educational Academy In Africa To “Leave A Legacy” And Has Promised TO.P An Exclusive Interview When It’s Complete). Close To Him Was A Table In Front of The Stage With A Young Dark Haired, Heavily Tattooed, 30 Something With His Blonde Girlfriend, Who Gave Regular Standing Ovations. (They Were Rewarded With A Copy of The Band’s New Album ‘Closer & Closer To You’ For Being The Most Enthusiatic Audience Members.)
And In Between Was A Varied Crowd of Business Types, Old, Young, Middle-Aged, Black, White & Mixed Couples. It Was A Diverse Crowd And A Great Atmosphere. We Loved It. And Throughly Recommend It. It’s Great Music. Old School Classics. And A Brilliant Night of Entertainment To Impress A Business Associate, or Romantic Interest or Bring Back Memories of Former Moving & A Grooving Days.
