Possibly Our Favourite Memory is Seeing The Keyboard Player, Graham, Taking A Disco Nap, In Situ, On The Floor, On His Back, On The Outskirts of The Centre of The Room, Alongside The Wall, With People Moving Simultaneously ‘Considerately Yet Effortlessly’ Around Him, As Though It Was The Most Natural Thing In The World.
It Was A Beautfiul Thing. A Pre-Performance Power Nap Rock n’ Roll Style. The Band Had Just Eaten Together From A Boisdale Menu. Out of Respect For Privacy We Did Not Take A Photo, But That Scene Is Etched In Our Memory Forever. Rock n’ Roll Behind The Scences. In Style. In Middle-Age. And Totally Cool!
‘Soul Kinda Wonderful’ All Love Performing And They Just Do What They’ve Got To Do To Make It Happen. We Love That About Them. They Own It. They Work It. They Keep On Going. Age Is Not An Issue. Self-Awareness, Self-Care, Self-Love, Is Everything. They Just Find A Way To Make It Work. For Instance, In Comparison RB’s Way, Was To Go For A Pre-Performance Churchillian Style ‘Constitutional’.
This Is A Group of In-Tune Individuals Who Come Together As One To Get Their Motown & Soul Groove On. It’s Amazing To Watch The Different Dynamics That Go Into It…(Including The Provision of An Ironing Board & A Clothes Rack, To Make Sure Their Stage Outfits Are Ship Shape After Travelling. As Fair As Band Riders Go, That’s A Very Modest Provision Indeed. Practical. Not Pretentious. We Love That. (Unlike Some Other Rockstar Riders That Are Notorious Which We Could Mention But Won’t Right Now!
