TheOrator.Press Events Page: Events Dear Boy. Events! Extra Coverage Special. The Brit Awards. (Part 1) February 2023

It’s Going To Take Someone Special To Correct The Numerous & Obvious Mistakes of The BRIT School Project At The Brit Awards 2023. Meantime Lizzo’s Medley Performance of Her Hit Songs Special, 2 Be Loved And About D**m Time Was World Class. Her Messaging Was Evidently Consistent In Terms of Her Band And Backing Dancers Who Were Predominantly Beautiful, Big, Black Woman. Image Diversity Is Something Her Brand Is Known For. She Is Known For Her Colourful Language Amongst Other Things Which (As Described Above) She Has Literally Trademarked. She Looked Stunning & Exceptionally Pretty In Pink. But Female Empowerment & Use of The ‘B’ And General Bad Language Is Something of A Double Standard And Mixed Messaging. Especially To An Audicne With A Significant Number of Impressionable School Children. The Organizers Chose To Show Her Helicopter Branding With “100 Percent That B*T**H” Which Is An Intriguing Decision Next To The Elimination of Gender Categories

For The First Time The British Music Industry’s Annual Showcase Event Was Broadcast On A Saturday Night, Instead of The Usual Tuesday or Wednesday School Night. Thus It Was Inevitably Incorporating More School Children Within The Live Viewing Audience.

Bearing This In Mind And The Historical Social Development of Our Times, It Was A Litany of Various Thoughtless, Disappointing, And Embarassing Mixed Messaging With The Following Mis-hits In The Top Ten. Throughout The Broadcast The Audience Was Shown…

(i) Gratuitous Images of Adults Seemingly Drinking Alcohol Whilst Presenting (To An Audience With A High Porportion of Impressionable School Age Individuals)

(ii) Making A Show of Randomly Eating Food off Someone Else’s Plate & Using Someone Else’s Cutlery – Post Covid (Which Recently Saw A National Campaign Focused On Issues of Maintaining High Levels of Hygiene Due To The Risk of Spreading Germs Disease Thorugh The Mouth)

(iii) Eating Whilst Speaking And Presenting

(iv) Inviting Job Applications For Non-Existent Job Opportunities – After The Harvey Weinstein Abusive Producer Cases #Me Too Movement

(v) Spouting Offensive & Officially Defunct Racial Stereotypes Disowned By A Corporate Giant In The Wake of The Social Justice Reform Movement & Black Lives Matter Movement

(vi) Outdated Gender Stereotypes Regarding Babysitting Duties (Put To New Mum Leigh Anne-Pinnock Who Was Out Attending The Event For The Evening)

(vii) Making Uncalled For Vulgar Sex Act References (By Mo’s Masked Singer Co Star & Fellow Comedian Joel Dommet About Elton John)

(viii) Uncalled For Drug-Taking References (By Comedian & Actor Daisy May Cooper About The Sugababes In Front of A Large Audience With A High Percentage of School Children)

(ix) Explicit Adult Rountines (Including Prolonged Public Snogging During The Sam Smith Performance) Which Have Resulted In Complaints To Ofcom (The Broadcasting Regulator)

(x) Environmentally Unfriendly Costume Changes Despite The Worldwide Climate Crisis.

Consequently, The Never-Ending Inconsistent Messaging Clanged With Clanger After Clanger Flying In All Directions. Considering The Importance of The BRIT School, Nordoff Robbins, And The Need For Higher Standards Within An National Education System In Crisis, For The Sake of Education’s Next Generation, The BRITs Clearly Need To Comprehensively Revise Some Behaviours (Including Among Their Presenters).

The Question Is Does It Have The Necessary Caring Attitude, Effective Apptitude, or Genuine Capability To Acknowledge That And Then Attend To These Modern Day Contemporary Issues In A Way That They Have So Far Self-Evidently Failed To Do?

Or Is It Just Going To Keep Sticking Its Head In The Ceremonial Sand?

BRITs.co.ukA Technical Hitch During This Years BRITS (2023) Saw The Organisers Play BRIT School Alumni Adele’s ‘I Drink Wine’ As They Endeavoured To Fix The Problem. During The Course of Collecting One of Her Three Awards Last Year Adele Said She Understood What The BRITS Were Trying To Do With A Gender Neutral Show But Also Declared “I Love Being A Woman” And “I Love Being A Female Artist”. Her Courage In Adding Her Voice To The Debate Is Important In An Arena Where A Minority of Voices Seem To Be Dominate And Angry And Aggressive And Accusatory When Others Try To Speak. Desptie The Fact That Britain Is Blessed With Being A Democracy – Unlike Many Other Countries Around The World. Ironically In 2016 She Had Her Own Widely Reported Technical Issues With Sound Control At The Grammys And Also At Wembly At A 2017 Concert.

Fair Effort From The BRITs 2023. But Overall It Must Do Better. Global Glory Demands Great Responsibilty & Great Awareness. Especially When Dealing With Impressionable School Kids Who May Well Be Future Players In This Business!
