Also With Two of His Fellow Contestants In Cultural Dress (Final Five Finalist Lenard Wilson, Wearing A Matching Hat And 1st Runner-Up Delroy Albert, Wearing A Matching Head-Dress). 2nd Runner-Up Solomon Malcom. The Judges: Shalmal Baro (A Multi-Media Expert, Wearing A Burgundy And White Suit With Matching Hat And Pocket Square, Dana Sealy Wearing A Sparkling Necklace And Matching Green Full Length Strappy Dress (She Was A Miss Elegance 2022 Contestant And 2024 Host), (Guyanese) Mala Bheem-Solomon, Chair Lady of The Guyanese Social Development Association Wore A Fabulous Full Length Black Mesh Strapeless Dress With Short Sleeves And Wonderfully Sparkly Earrings, And Diane Richards (IT Consultant) Wearing A Short Silver Sparkly Dress.

There Were Three Main Categories: Cultural Dress, High Fashion (Or Smart Casual), And Evening Wear (Black Tie)
The Mr Debonair International Moto Is “Love And Compassion Are A Necessity” And There Was Alot of “Love And Compassion” In The House On Saturday July 5th 2025 At The Croydon Imperial Way Banquetting Suite For The First Ever ‘Mr Debonair’ (50 Plus Pageant). It Was Strictly A Red Carpet Affair With A Black Tie Dress Code And The Ladies And Gentlemen Were Dressed Up To The Nines. But For Once All The Attention Was on The Gentleman When It Came To This Sartorial Talent Pageant. And What Was Going On On The Inside (As Well As How Debonair They Dressed) Was Just As Important!
The Mature Male Pageant Is The Brainchild of British-Guyanese Event Organiser And Youth Worker Richard Halley (Wearing Golden Hat With Guyanese National Dress Above) Who Explained That He Came Up With The Idea In Order To Find A Way To Establish Mentors For The Youth By Setting A Good Example And Providing Them With Some Guidance. For The Contestants Themselves Its A Way To Boost Their Own Confidence, Stay Connected With The Community And Highlight Their Style And Fashion With A Passion, Showing They May Be Getting Older But They’re Not Getting Colder!
Certain Ladies And Gentlemen Alike Loved The Night And Are Already Looking Forward To Next Year.
Congratulations To Delroy Newland For Becoming The First Ever ‘Mr Debonair’ 50 Plus Pageant Winner (2025). He Was Looking Rather Bond-Esque In His Black And White Smooth Formal Dress And Rather Regal In His National Dress. He Had The Looks, The Moves And The Lyrics And Was A Worthy Winner! Pictured Above Proudly Displaying The Colours of The Guyanese Flag As Integrated Into The Scarf Gifted To Each of The Contestants By Organiser Richard (Who Is British Guyanese) With His Trophy And Award, Delroy Is Now Under Contract To Carry Out An Ambassadorial And Mentorship Role For The Next Year.
