The Event Was Both Fun And Functional In As Much As It Was A Stylish Affair With Great Clothes, Atmosphere And An Engaging Event, Plus Dinner And Drink. It Was Passion With A Purpose As The Point Is To Inspire, Encourage And Mentor The Younger Generation Whilst Showcasing The Current Generation As Still Stylish, Vibrant And Vital.

An Announcement Was Made By The Organisers In An Attempt To Calm Hungary And Upset Guests.
Better Staffing Levels, Supervision And Organisation In Terms of Having A Clearer Idea About How Many Tickets Were Sold, Deciding What The Dinner Is Going To Be In Advance, And Offering A Meat, Vegetarian And Vegan Option (Which Guests Should Be Asked To Select At The Time of Booking) May Prevent The Problem Happening Again.
Serving Dinner At A Set Time During A Certain Section of The Show, Instead of On An Ad-hoc Basis Should Also Help Things Run More Smoothly.
Getting Food Service Out of The Way Early And Then Focusing On The Main Event And The Music Is Often A Good Way To Do It. It’s Not Easy But It Can Be Strategised As A Vital Part of Event Management.
There Are Lessons To Be Learnt From The Debut Mr Debonair 50+ Pageant 2025 And They Include The Need For Better Organisation, Communication, Professionalism And Consideration of Others (Including The Contestants Themselves).
A Major Let Down Was The Food Service. According To The Organiser (Richard Halley) Apparently Alot of Work Went Into Preparing, Cooking And Delivering The Food To The Venue.
Nonetheless The Service of The Food Took Way Too Long And At One Stage There Was Nearly A Diabetic Medical Incident As One Particular Guest’s Blood Sugar Levels Had Dropped So Much.
Even In The Midst of This Potential Medical Emergency There Was Something of ‘A Soon Come’ Attitude And A Defensive Tone Which Was Focused More On Indulging The (Very Young And Under-Staffed Young Girls Working In The Kitchen) Rather Than A Sense of Urgency For The Hungry Audience, Guest Members And Diabetes Patient.
That Was Deeply Disappointing Considering Ticket Price For The Show And Dance Was £50.00, Food Price Was Extra, People Had Travelled Far And Wide (Including From Bristol), And Everyone Had Made Such An Effort (Including The The Guests And The Organisers Themselves).
It Was The First Event So They Should Be Better Organised Next Year. Plus The Food Was Actually Tasty When It Finally Arrived Which Also Bodes Well For Next Time.
The Organisers Seem To Have Underestimated How Busy They Were Going To Be, Which On One Hand Can Be Seen As A Sign of The Event’s Success (Notwithstanding The Need For Improvements).
One Such Improvement Would Be A Better Balance of Generations. The Catering Staff Seemed To Consist of Just Three Inexperienced, Immature, Overwhelmed Young Girls Without Any Notable Management or Guidance.

It’s Also Important To Remember That The Participants And Members of The Management And Executive Team Need Looking After Too, In Terms of Refreshments And Food. Contestants Were Reportedly Also Overlooked And Under Attended. Both During And After The Event.
As Well As Avoiding Diabetic Dramas Due To Diabolically Slow Service, It’s Also Important To Avoid Potential Choking Hazards Such As Tiny Fish Bones From A Health & Safety Perspective. So It’s Generally A Good Idea To Give Boney Fish A Miss On An Occassion Such As This.
It Did Not Help That The Event Which Included Music And Dancing Seemed To End Earlier Than The 2am Advertised. It Seemed There Was Virtually No Time Get Into The Groove And Let One’s Hair Down After The Show And Relieve Some Tensions.
That Said, Hopefully There Will Be Great Improvements In Management And Service Next Year, After Showcasing An Overall Brave And Dedicated Performance From The Debute Mr Debonair (2025) Contestants.
