It All Began The Now Notorious Biden Trump Presidential Nominee Debate of Thursday June 27th 2024. What Had Long Since Been Clear Yet Officially Denied For The Longest Time Was Finally Exposed. Joe Biden Was Intellectually Unwell And Subsequently Unfit For The Job of Fighting Donald Trump In The Battle To Become America’s Next President. In Anticipation of The Pending November 5^th American Election (Which Coincidentally In Britain Is Fireworks Night).

The Democratic Big Dogs Finally Gave Him A Much Needed Talking To. Hollywood Actor George Clooney Publicly Announced He Had To Go If The Democrats Want To Win The Election. Nancy Pelosi And Barack Obama Finally Got Through And Also Made It Clear He Had To Go. Donations Were Drying Up. Clooney’s Fellow Politically Savvy Hollywood Actor & Filmmaker Spike Lee Was Actually In Attendance At The Covention @officialspikelee

Clooney Has Made A Number of Political Movies, Become Something of A Political Activist, And Is Married To British-Lebanese International Human Rights Lawyer Amal Clooney (Nee: Alamuddin). He Cares Deeply About Democracy. His Post Debate No Holds-Barred Public Intervention Seemed To Make A Huge Difference And Set The Public Ball Rolling. The Ultimate Word In The Ear Reportedly Came From Former President Barack Obama (To Whom Biden Was Himself VP) And (Former Speaker of The House) Nancy Pelosi.

In His Speech Biden Said “I Revere This Office But I Love My Country More”

Trump Himself Was Not Great In The Debate. In Fact As Usual He Was Fact Checked To Have Told A Record Number of Lies, Was Rambling And Full of Self-Interest. The Problem Was Biden Was Too Frail, Feeble, Fumbling And Forgetful To Deliver And Land The Necessary Political Oratory Counter-Punches To Knock Trump Out And Then Stand His Ground.  Consequently He Came off The Worst For Wear.

And For The Record, This Is A Case of Wear And Tear, Frailty, And Devastating Decline, Not Age. There Are Elders The Same Age And Older Than Biden Who Remain Robust And Intellectually And Physically On Form, So It Is Unfair To Subject Them All To Age Discrimination.

A Case In Point Is The Distinctively Deep Voiced Democratic African-American Leader James Clyburn, Representative of South Carolina, Who Last Month Celebrated His 84^th Birthday And Is Still As Sharp As Ever, Despite Being Two Years Older Than President Biden @RepJamesClyburn.

It Was His Official Support For The 2020 Biden/Harris Campaign That Led To Biden Being Supported By The African-American Constituency. It Is Widely Acknowledged That That Extra Support Led To Biden Subsequently Being Elected As President And Harris Becoming America’s First Female Vice President, And First Black Vice President, And Famously Declaring “We Did It Joe” In A Viral Social Media Video Post Back In 2020. Anyone Who Underestimates The Power of The Black Vote Does So At Their Peril And As A Folly.

This, In Our Opinion, Includes Alex Deane A Right Wing Commentator (Lawyer And PR Consultant Who Should Know Better) Who, During A Sky News Press Review On Friday August 23 2024, Dismissively Declared That Kamala Harris Is Now In The Position That She Is In Without Ever Getting A Single Vote And That A VP Can Only Step Up If The President Is Incapacitated. Which, Is Simply Incorrect On So Many Levels. As Was His Assertion That She Attacked Trump Without Giving An Account of Herself In Her DNC Speech. But It Is So Typical of The Kind of Misinformation Muck-Raking That The Right Wing Are So Often Now Inclined Towards Following Trump’s Denigration of Political Discourse Since His Campaign of 2016.

Commentators Who Similarly Indulged And Excused Him With Claims Such As He Would Get Better If Elected And Surrounded By Professionals Were Proven Wrong. Having Professionals Around Him Did Not Reign Him In. He Got Worse. Hence In 2020 He Failed To Get Re-Elected.. The Denigration Got Worse Still As He Stormed The Capital (Vicariously) On January 6th 2021 Based On The (Nazi Style) Big Lie Strategy That The Elections Were Rigged. (Nazi Propoganda Was Based On Repeating A Lie Until People Began To Believe It And Act On It. Usually Violently.) Fortunately His Vice President Mike Pence Finally Did The Right Thing And Cooperated With The Process of Transferring Power To The Election Winners By Ratifying The Electorial College Win And Certifiying The Election Result. (Despite Being Amongst Those Who Indugled Him Too Much For Too Long.)

Biden Was Voted In As President With Kamala Harris As His Vice President In November 2020 And Ultimately Sworn In On January 6th 2021. Significant To That Was The Aforementioned James Clyburn Support As A Leader of The Black Community @RepJamesClyburn In Terms of Harris Being Selected As Biden’s Running Mate As An Intelligent, Upstanding, Well-Educated, Well-Worthy, Professionally Well-Experienced Woman And Member of The Black Community. It Inspired Black Voters And They Helped Make The Difference And Secure A Democrat Win.

Indeed The Power of The Black Vote And Trump’s Racist Resentment of It Is A Fundamental Reason Why He Caught Himself And His Acolytes Up In ‘The Big Lie’ That The Election Was Stolen. That Has Been Repeatedly Legally Proven To Be An Argument of No Merit, But Tragically It Did Lead To The National Disgrace of The January 6^th Insurrection And So Much Devastation In The Meantime.

People Died Including Law Enforcement Officer Brian Sicknick. He Died The Next Day After Being Subjected To Bear Spray (Not Meant For Use On Humans). And Four Other Officers Later Committed Suicide. Also MAGA Rioter Ashli Babbit (Former Military) Was Shot By Police As She Illegaly Tried To Break Into The Capitol Building With The Mob And Attack Sheltering Personnel.

The New Party of Law And Order

An Especially Notable Amazing Aspect of The DNC 2024 Is Just How Many Law Enforcement Officers Showed Up At The DNC Podium To Show Support For The Harris/Walz Campaign.

The Mother And Brother of Late Officer Sidenick Appeared At The Conference And Urged People To Vote For Harris Further To Trump’s Behaviour On January 6 2021.

Harris Wore A Navy Blue Suit With A Matching Blouse And Stars And Stripes Pin (Badge) As If To Bring The Law And Order Message Home.

Such Is The Turnaround That Comedian D.L Hugely, Who Was A Member of The Convention’s Celebrity Support, Joked He Never Thought He Would See The Day That He Would Be Standing Up In Support of A Lawyer And Teacher.

That Teacher Is Tim Walz Her New VP Who She Chose To Step Into Her Running Mate Shoes. Walz Is Governor of Minnesota, A Former Sociology Teacher, School Soccer Coach, And National Guard Officer of Over Twenty Years, Who Was Raised In Rural Nebraska, Is Down To Earth And Has A Good Relationship With Kamala. He’s Her White, Working Class, Rural Male Counterpart To Her Asian/Jamaica African-American, Female, Urban, Californian.

Trump Has Done So Much To Radicalize The Republican Party In Real Time Before Our Very Eyes And Turn It Into The Re-Trumplican Party That The Democrats Are Now The Party of Law And Order Whereas Historically It Was The Other Way Round. The Re-Trumplican Party Is Now The Party of Hate, Racism, Nonsense Conspiracy Theories, Political Violence Born of Grievance Politics, Perpetual Whinging, Never Taking Responsibility For Anything, And Perpetual Lying.

In The Intervening Time Since The 2020 Election, Aforementioned James Clyburn Has Remained As Robust As Ever And Is Regularly Called Upon As A Political Commentator. But Biden Has Befallen A Sad Decline In Comparison.

But What Is Remarkable Is How Much Respect He Has Won For Finally Stepping Down And Putting His Country Before His Ego And Passing The Baton To His VP Kamala Harris.

That Was A Momentous Moment As Kamala Subsequently Stepped Up From VP To Presidential Nominee. But Also Because It Highlighted The Character of Joe Biden And His Ultimate Dedication To Service of His Country (Unlike Political Conmen Like Mini-Me Boris Johnson In England And Trump In America Who Were And Are Only Dedicated To Service of Themselves And Using The Highest Office In Politics As Their Political Playground, Causing Chaos In The Process).

Many Politicians And Political Commentators Including Bakari Sellers, Van Jones, Ron Brownstein, David Axelrod, And Larry Sabato, Margaret Talev, And Meghan Hays, And Hillary Clinton Have Acknowledged That Biden Will Go Down In History As One of America’s Most Consequential Presidents. The Irony Is That Letting Go Has Made Him A National Hero.

He Spoke On Day One of The Convention, , Monday August 19^th 2024, Reassuring The Crowd And The World That He Was Happy With The Situation And Was Willingly assing On The Baton. Then He Promptly Flew off On His Summer Holiday Within Hours Shortly Afterwards. Clearly He Felt A Much Needed, Well Deserved And Well Earnt Break Was In Order!

Whilst History Will Show The Biden Trump Presidential Debate To Have Been A Career Ending Disaster For Biden He Was Actually Spot On About A Number of Things, Despite His Delivery Meaning They Failed To Land With Requisite Impact. One of Those Points Was That Trump Was Such A Malignant Character That Virtually Nobody From The Very Core Positions of His Administration Was Willing To Endorse Him (Let Alone Any Former Republican President). Certainly Not His Former Vice President Mike Pence – Whom The January Insurrectionists Sought To Lynch As They Shouted “Hang Mike Pence”.

This Was Starkly Borne Out At The DNC Convention As Harris Was Endorsed By Politicians With Stellar Presidential Credentials, In Absolute Stark Contrast To Trump. Firstly It Was President Biden Himself. On The Same Day Hillary Clinton Gave A Speech And Enjoyed Hearing The Tables Turned On Trump Now A Convicted Felon With 84 Felonies As The Crowd Chanted “Lock Him Up” (What Goes Around Comes Around!). But The Democrats Are Moving Forward And So Did Not Encourage That. They Want To Be Seen As The Opposite of Re-Trumplican Politics.

The Following Day Tuesday August 20^th 2024 It Would Be Former President Barack Obama And Former First Lady Michelle Obama The Most Popular Political Power Couple Ever To Take The Stage. They Each Delivered Memorable Speeches One After The Other With The Former President, Who Followed His Wife Saying “Only A Fool Would Give A Speech After Michelle Obama”. The Penultimate Day Wednesday August 21st It Would Be Former President Bill Clinton.

The Ultimate Day of The Conference Thursday August 22nd Saw The Grand Finale Where Harris Presented Her Case For Being The Next President of The United States. She Did So With Presidential Flair And Fighting Power. She Also Prosecuted The Case Against Trump Who She Described As In Many Ways “An Unserious Man” But Whose Re-Election, If Allowed, By The People “Would Haver Very Serious consequences”. Especially With Her Own Presidential Debate With Trump Scheduled To Take Place September 10^th 2024.

Speaking To CNN About Her Comments On The Palestine And Gaza War And Finding The Right Balance Between Expressing Support For America’s Israeli Allies And Concern For The Displaced Palestinians Still Under Israeli Bombardment, Marc Morial Founder And CEO of The National Urban League Said: “I Think That Articulation Was Brilliantly Done”

Bakari Sellers, Lawyer & Political Commentator Said “I Thought It Was A Flawless Presentation”. He Also Revealed That He Spent Time With Wes Moore Later That Night And Moore Revealed That He Had Advised The Campaign On Letting The Gender And Racial History That Harris Will Be Making Speak For Itself, And Instead They Should Speak About Looking Into The Future, Being Patriotic And A President To Every American.  

This Proved To Have Been Effective Advise As All The Delegates Were Given Sizeable American Flags And Pictures of The Presidential Nominee And VP, Harris And Walz Respectively, And They Looked Spectacular As They Were Waved Vigorously And Enthusiastically By Cheering Delegates At The United Centre, Chicago, Illinois, America’s Largest Arena, Which Was Filled With “Joy” (Which Is A Buzz Word of The Campaign). It Seeks To Distinguish The Democrats From The Division, Hate And Misery of The Re-Trump Campaign And Regressive And Aggressive Policies.

Political Expert Ron Brownstein Said Harris Was Energetic, Steely, Strong, And Confident. She Had Presidential Presence. She Embodied Her Message. And She Radiated Change. Furthermore She Gave The Impression That People Could Feel Safe.

This Is Important As It Is A Known Political Fact That The Majority of Americans Were Not Happy With Re-Litigating The Biden Trump Choice of 2020 And Were Known As “Double Haters”.

It Was Politician Nikki Haley Who Famously Said That The First Party To Change Up Their Lead Candidate From Being An Old White Man Would Increase Their Chances of Being Successful. History Has Already Borne Out The Truth of That Bold Assessment As The Enthusiasm For The Democratic Campaign Has Sky Rocketed Since The Departure of Biden. Donations Have Now Outstripped The Trump Fundraising Pot By Millions of Dollars And Are Reported To Be Growing Towards The Half A Billion Dollars Mark. This Compared To Donors Threatening To Stop Funding The Campaign Altogether Just Weeks Ago If Biden Didn’t Go.

We Should Caveat That Haley’s Credibility Is Nonetheless Forever Tainted As She Said A Number of Spurious Things During Her Run In The Republican Primaries Earlier This Year, Including That America Has Never Been A Racist Country (Despite Herself Being of Native American Origin And The Native American Population Being Decimated By Racism). And Failing To Admit That Slavery And Racism Were Central To To The American Civil War.

The Gen Z Constituency Have been Especially Inspired With The Likes of “BRAT And Memes. And Women of Child-Bearing Age Who Appreciate The Harris’ Commitment To Rescind The Re-Trumplican Abortion Ban And Interference With Birth Control Rights Have Also Been Inspired. Throughout The Convention Numerous Women And Families Shared Their Stories of How The Ban And Reproduction Rights Interference Had Affected Them.

Also Talking To CNN The Next Day Asa Hutchinson Former Republican Governor of Arkansas Was Impressed By The Speech Especially Her Comments About Job Creation And The Economy (Which He Said Was The Talk of Conservatives). He Had Previously Warned That She Needed To Stay Away From Seeming Too “Left Wing” And “Scary” By Which He Explained That He Meant Her Previous Talk of Wanting To Stop Price Gauging In Order To Help Bring Prices Down, As That May Seem Anti-Business To Some.

Howard Dean Former DNC Chairman Said It Was Possibly The Best Acceptance Speech He’d Seen (And He’s Attended 11 Previous Conventions). He Said “You Couldn’t Wish For A Better Form of Words.”

Still Much Work To Do Regarding The Polls, As The Democrats Insist They’re The Underdogs And Have To Keep Pushing Forward – Not Taking Anything For Granted – Even After Biden Passes On The Baton.

But The Harris Campaign And Its Supporters Are Not Complacent.

They Are Fully Aware of ‘The Blue Wall’ History of Michigan, Pennsylvania, And Wisconsin, Three Swing States Which Have Historically Dictated Who Will The Election As Candidates Who Have Won All Three Previously Have Been Victorious Over The Last 18 National Elections With One Exception. Arizona, Georgia, And North Carolina (Where I In 5 Voters Are African-American) Are Also Important Swing States. The Good News Is That Since Biden Stepped Down A Significant Number of of More Voters Have Registered In Some of These Areas As Democrats And Volunteers Perhaps Therefore Affording The Campaign More Wriggle Room For A Establishing A Different Winning Combination.

And They Recognise The Need For Her To Garner More Support From Black Middle-Aged Men By Getting Out There And Doing The Ground Work of Meeting Them, Listening To Them And Reassuring Them.

A CNN Think Tank Poll Conducted By CNN Correspondent Gary Tuchman Highlighted That Immediately After The Speech (Although It Was A Notably Small Survey of Just Two Black Men Amongst 8 White People And One Went For Trump And One Went For Kamala. Of The Rest of The Group, Comprised of Both Genders, One Woman Remained Undecided And The Rest Also Decided On Kamal Too).

With Regard To Similar Polls, Speaking To CNN Marc Morial Founder And CEO of The National Urban League Said: “Those Early Polls Have Never Been Accurate. Those Numbers Are Going To Erode By The time of The Election.”

Either Way, Clearly There Is Work To Be Done And They Need To Connect With Those Communities.

In 2016 There Were Third Party Candidates And A Reduced Turn Out (When Trump Won).

In 2020 There Were No Third Party Candidates And A Greater Turnout (When Biden Won).

Bearing In Mind Controversial Conspiracy-Theorist Third Party Candidate Robert Kennedy Jr Announced That He Was Likely Stepping Out of The Presidential Race On The Same Day As This Historical Speech This Bodes Well For Kamala Harris. Notwithstanding That He Had Earlier Touted Himself As Willing To Join Her Group But Was Rejected. He Subsequently Touted Himself To Trump And Was Accepted The Next Day. Whether That Proves To Be A Help Or A Hinderance Remains To Be Seen.

At The Other End of The Spectrum Is Humanist, Philosopher And Scholar Professer Cornel West Who Is Unlikely To Win But As A Third Party Candicate May Take Critical Votes Away From The Democrats.
