It’s Always A Good Sign If The House Wine Is Dependable
…And It Is At Palazzo

Aubergine (Melanzane) Crostini With Burrata (A Ball of Creamy, Milky, Tasty, Delicate Italian Cheese).
The Melanzane Was Served Chilled. We Would Have Preferred It Hot And Chillied Up. Even So, It Still Got Polished Off Pretty Quickly. That’s Because This Tasty Italian Food Is Simply Top Notch Nosh!

Zucchini Fritti With Yoghurt & Aleppo Chilli. With Truffle Fries They Make A Super Snack To Go With A Favourite Palazzo Cocktail Drink Or Favourite Glass of Wine)

King Henry Is Associated With The Staibano Spirits Company And Proudly Serves Staibano At Palazzo

@madeofdough Opened In 2017.
In 2018 It Was Voted Best Peckham Restaurant In Time Out (Magazine) London.
In 2020 It Did Very Well With Takeaway Orders During The Pandemic. It’s On Deliveroo And Uber Eats As Is Its Sister Site ‘Palazzo’ In Crystal Palace.
Having Built Up A Following Since 2014 When The Business Was Going Out On The Road As A Mobile Pizza Up Playing Cool Tunes It Has Gone From Strength To Strength.

The Owners of ‘Palazzo’ Have Been Striving For “Pizza Perfection” Since 2014 When They Hit The Road With Their Cleverly Named ‘Made of Dough’ Pizza Business Featuring A Land Rover, A Mobile Pizza Oven And A Cool Music System Playing A Seriously Soulful Selection of Tunes. They Staged A Series of Performances At Different Pop-Up Events At Various Locations And At Various Festivals Helping To Feed Hungry Attendees As They Got Mobile And Literally Warmly Embraced The Saying “Keep It Moving” (…In A Good Way!).
In 2015 They Won Gold At The London Pizza Festival And Two Years Later In 2017 They Opened Their First Permanent Stand-Alone Sit-Down Site At ‘Made of Dough’ Pizzeria Peckham, Where They’ve Been Ever Since. Even So, During The Summer Time And Even Christmas Time They’re Still Doing The Festivals, Pop-Ups And Pizza Alfresco, Keeping It Just Like Before.
Five Years On They Expanded Their Empire Again To Include A New Pizzeria On One of The Corners of The ‘Crystal Palace Triangle’ (So Called Because This Village-Style Local Neighbourhood Hub Has Three Distinct Sides To It Containing Cafes, Bars, Pubs, Restaurants, Shops And Interesting Enterprises). It’s Called Palazzo @bar.palazzo (Since May 2022).
‘Palazzo’ Means Palace And The Three Founders Are Known As The Three Kings. Ed, Harry And Henry (Although It Seems Ed Has Retreated Into Something Of A Self-Imposed Exhile Since The Original Coronation of This Pizza Kingdom And Is Ruling From Afar). The Remaining Kings Harry And Henry Are Nonetheless Still Performing Public Duties And Taking Care of PR). Alas We Have Never Met The Former King But The Latter Two Are Majestic Charming Men Indeed. Polite. Long Time Friends (Even Though Still Young), Generally Friendly. Caring. Engaging. And Very Likeable.
Luigi, The Palazzo Manager, Is Prince Charisma. He Knows How To Run A Busy Restaurant Floor, Turn On The Charm And Keep Things Running Smoothly, All With Sincerity. It Comes To Him Naturally. It’s Hard Work But He Makes It Look Easy.
He, Like So Many In The Restaurant Industry, Is A Buddying Actor And A Number of The Palazzo Team Also Have An Active Interest In The Creative Industry. Luigi (Pictured Below, Left, And With Actor Michael Ward, Right) Has Been In Various Films And Regularly Attends Film Events And Auditions. Valentina (Pictured Next To Him Is A Would Be Dancer And Alumni of The Local BRIT School). And Marley ( Pictured Next To Her) Has Great Model Potential And Music Interests (Like His Name Sake)

As Well As Interesting And Dynamic Founders And Staff There Are Great Pictures On The Walls of Music Icons. Music Remains Important To This Establishment And Is Reflected In Their Collection of Different Vinyl Albums And Music Posters. It’s All Part of The Great, Relaxed And Inviting Atmosphere.
What Palazzo Has Done Especially Well Is Create A USP By Coming Up With An Effective Solution To An Age Old Restaurant Business Problem. They’ve Made Notoriously Quiet Monday’s Now Very Busy Days By Offering Half Price Pizzas. All Pizzas. All Day. From Midday To Closing. The Place Is Jammed. It’s Genius.
Similarly On Saturdays During The Day They Offer A Bottomless Brunch From 12-6pm And The Place Is Jammed Again.
Plus With A Live DJ In The House On Both Occassions It’s A Gastronomic Musical Celebration. As They Say; “There Are Margaritas And Margheritas”. It’s Music To The Ears And A Treat For The Tummy.
The Other Great Thing They’ve Done Is Make The Place Welcome For Everyone For Any Occassion. Customers Can Pop In For A Quick Drink. A Casual Bite To Eat. A Business Meeting. A Private Romantic Date. Or A Big Special Occassion. It’s Versatile And It Works Well. The Atmosphere Is Soulful, Fun, Friendly And Efficient.

Beppe’s Chilli Oil Is Great For Those Who Love An Extra Bit of Bada Bing Bada Boom!

Made of Dough & Palazzo Make A Tasty ‘Scotch Bonnet’ Honey (Which Is Sweet & Spicy). They Serve It Over A Number of Their Starters And Pizzas. Scotch Bonnet Peppers Are An Essential Part of Jamaican Cuisine So It Took Our Fancy And Proved Pretty Tasty. They Also Serve Beppe’s Hot Chilli Oil Which Also Brings A Nice Hot Kick For Those Who Like Their Food Extra Spicy (Like Us).

The Flaming Open Fire Wood-Oven-Cooked Aubergine Pizza With Ricotta Cheese And Scotch Bonnet Honey & The Red Onion Pizza Are Both Delicious!

Hackney Gelato Is On The Palazzo Dessert List, Which Is Where We First Discovered It. We’re Loving The Peanut Butter & The Salted Caramel.
The Tasting Boxes Seem Well Worth A Try. They Look ‘The Lick’ Big Style!
@barpalazzo Opened May 2022 (Five Years After Its Sister Site In Peckham).
There’s Alot To Love About The Place, Including The Fact That It’s Been Doing A Good Festive Party Gig Over Christmas Eve And New Year Since It Opened Which Is Great For Those Who Want To Go Out But Keep It Local And Yet Still Do Something A Little Special (Thereby Avoiding Worries About Travel But Still Having A Good Reason To Dress Up For The Occassion. This Includes Getting To ‘Shake A’ Two Foot’ As They Say In Jamaica (Which Means ‘Enjoy A Good Boggie’).
