Charmz (Obviously A Character Created As A Re-Imagining of The Original Prince Charming) Is Played By Non-Binary Actor @alexthomassmith Who Gives An Authentic, Genuine, Yet Considered And Gentle Performance, Which Exudes Sensitivity As Well As High Energy. Again Pulling That Off Is Really Rather Something And Very Engaging. Notwithstanding This Modern Re-Imagining, As With All Good Pantos, In Festive Spirit There Is A Happy Ending!
It Will Be Interesting To See How This Year’s Panto Does At The Black British Theatre Awards Next Year, Having Delivered Strong Performances All Round From Each of The Five Cast Members. Last Year’s Panto Set A High Mark To Surpass. It’s Already Clear That Competition Will Be Fabulous And Fierce.
Be That As It May, This Cinderella Re-Write Is A Winner In Its Own Right! We Have To Say Our Favourite Element Was The Father Daughter Relationship Which Was Very Moving, Well Written And Well Acted By Both Parties. There Was Extra Special Acting Skill In Veteran Actor #Ray Emmet Brown Staying Still As A Plant For An Extended Amount of Time And Then Just Giving A Poignant Subtle Movement At A Poignant Moment. It Was Indeed A Moment (Because We Did Not See It Coming) And It Was Very Simple But Very Moving!
