TheOrator.Press Events Page: Events Dear Boy. Events! Extra Coverage Special. The Brit Awards. (Part 1) February 2023

There Were Some Very Good Elements At This Year’s BRIT Awards. Guest Performers Lizzo (Above), Stormzy (Below) And Cat Burns (Below) Were All Stunning.

But Sadly Overall The Presentation Was A Series of Cringey Clangers Due To Disconnects, Self-Inflicted Stereotypes, And Mixed Messaging. All of Which Was Deeply Disappointing. There’s Much Room For Great Improvement Next Year!

Meantime Well Done To All This Year’s Worthy Winners & Outstanding Performers

FLO Were Winners of The Rising Star Award 2023

It Is The First Time A Group Has Won It. And In Another First They Were Met By Another Three Piece Female Group, The Sugababes, On The Red Carpet & Presented With It There, Having Been Told of Their Win Back In December Last Year.

Exclusion of The Best Female Artist Category (For The Second Year Running) Lead To Retro Male Domination. So Much So That Even The Biggest Male Winner of The Night (Harry Styles) Even Felt Compelled To Say Something During One Of His Acceptances Speeches.

The Gender Neutral Categorization On One Hand (About Which There Was No Public Democratic Vote) Just Seemed Like Self-Serving, Virtue Signalling, Right From The Beginning, When Juxtaposed With The Fact That The Show Opened Firstly With The Host Being Flown To The Venue In A Helicopter, And Secondly That Helicopter Being Branded With Lizzo’s Trademark Slogan

“100 Percent That B*T**H”

Clearly That’s Not Gender Neutral Language. Nor Is It Setting A Good Example To School Children In Terms of Using Swear Language! Arguably It’s Not Environmentally Friendly In The Midst of The Climate Change Crisis & Global Warming.
