There Were So Many Great Moments At The BCB Convention 2026, Tobacco Dock, Wapping, London, And One of Them Was Meeting Lifelong Friends Robbie And James Who Have Been Friends Since Nursery School Days. Now All Grown Up And In Their Late Twenties, With A Shared Love of Rum They’ve Gone Into Business Together To Produce A Beverage That Befits Their Heritage And Their Generation. It Was Really Interesting To Get Their Perspective As Descendants of The Windrush Generation Who Want To Make Their Own Modern Age Impression By Producing Their Own “Golden Rum” “Expression”. Not Yet Thirty, But Fully Focused On Their Business Ambitions Within The Industry of Rum Production, These Two Young Men Are Very Impressive, Whilst Also Remaining Humble.
Make That A Double!
This Fourth And Final Edition of Our ‘Pods On A Page Interviews’ For This Special Drinks Feature Has A Bit More Background Noise Than Usual Because Whilst We Were Interviewing James On The Sterling & Malcolm Exhibition Stand, A Representative From A Gin Company Was Talking To His Business Partner, Robbie, At The Same Time, Right Next To Us, Rather Loudly. Suffice To Say The Event Was Very Well Attended With A Host of Different Interests.
It Was A Pleasure And A Privilege To Talk To These Successful Yet Humble Booze Business Guys. Especially Given The History of Tobacco Dock. They Are Determined To Make Their Mark As Positive, Proud, Modern Day, Conscientious, British-Jamaican Businessmen.
We’re Loving The Patois Play And The Recipe For The Expresso Rah’tini On Their Instagram Page!
